Journey back to the origins of Japanese civilization with a visit to Nara, Japan's first permanent capital and one of the country's most important cultural treasures.

Home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Nara preserves many of the temples, traditions, and artistic achievements that helped shape Japan more than 1,300 years ago.

Your visit centers on Todaiji Temple, one of Japan's most celebrated Buddhist landmarks. Enter through the impressive Nandaimon Gate before exploring the Great Buddha Hall, one of the largest wooden buildings in the world. Inside awaits the awe-inspiring Great Buddha, a masterpiece of craftsmanship and one of Japan's most iconic religious treasures.

The experience also includes time in Nara Park, where hundreds of free-roaming deer have become beloved symbols of the city and contribute to its uniquely peaceful atmosphere.
