This is your chance to learn some of the traditional techniques of the taiko drumming style. Then, roll up your sleeves and let it rip as you transfer your energy to the head of a drum!

The challenge is to keep rhythm with the professionals.

Historically taiko drums were a communication device. Samurai in their castles and outposts would use them to signal to each other – the sound of the largest drums can travel up to four kilometres. In the mid-twentieth century they were reimagined as a form of entertainment. In the 21st century they are very much that and an excellent form of exercise!

What is more..
Experience the beauty of traditional Japanese calligraphy, known as shodō, where each brushstroke reflects balance, mindfulness, and self-expression. Guided by an experienced instructor, guests will learn basic techniques and create their own Japanese characters or names using authentic brushes and ink — a peaceful and memorable cultural experience.
